New updated Parent Interview Form

March, 2014

Dear Parents,
PARENT/TEACHER INTERVIEWS
Parent/Teacher interviews for Semester 1 will be held during Weeks 9 and 10. All interviews will be 10-15 minutes in duration.  These interviews are part of Sacred Heart Primary School’s ongoing reporting process, and it is essential that parents attend to discuss their child’s progress. Year 4, 5, and 6 parents are asked to bring their child along to be part of the interview process.
Please circle a time block that will suit your family and we will endeavour to accommodate your request.  We will try to ensure that all interviews for children from the same family in different year levels are scheduled for the same time block.
Please return the interview request form below form to your child’s classroom teacher by Friday 28th March 2014.  Thank you for your ongoing support.
Yours sincerely

Sacramental Letter

Sacred Heart Parish
64 Mary St, Highgate 6003
Tel.: 9328 3433:  Parish Secretary/Fax:  9227 0137

18/02/14

Dear Parents,

My name is Anna Sheehy, and I will be the Sacramental Program Coordinator for Sacred Heart Parish Highgate in 2014. I am also the Assistant Principal /Religious Education at Sacred Heart Primary School Highgate.

Again this year, I will be helping Father Peter Bianchini with the Parish Based, Family Focused, School Supported Sacrament Program, which is in keeping with the Archdiocesan policy of returning to home parishes to receive Sacraments.

Your Teachers and Catechists will  be  preparing students who attend the Sacred Heart Parish, and are receiving the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Communion or Confirmation in 2014.

The following information contains important dates to put in your diaries.

We will be holding Sacrament Information Meetings for Parents in the School Hall at 40 Mary Street Highgate. At these meetings, Father Peter will talk about the Sacraments, and the teachers will outline the preparation that is taking place in class.

The Sacrament of Confirmation Meeting will take place on Thursday May 8 at 7.00pm.
The Sacrament of Eucharist Meeting will take place on Thursday, May 15 at 7.00pm.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation Meeting will take place on Thursday, May 22 at 7.00pm.
All Meetings will run from 7.00-8.00pm, and all parents are strongly encouraged to attend and participate.
At these meetings you will receive detailed information and be invited to enrol your child to receive a Sacrament.

We are once again running the Sacrament Workshops for the children and their parents. These were a great success last year, and once again they will be run by the Consultants from the Catechesis Service Team at the Catholic Education Office. You are all strongly encouraged to come along and participate in these, as they provide further understanding of the Sacraments, and are a wonderful opportunity to share this experience together.

The dates are:
Reconcilation: Monday, May 5. 6.30-8.00pm.
Confirmation : Monday, May 19. 6.30-8.00pm.
Eucharist:         Monday, May 26. 6.30-8.00pm.

The Commitment Masses for these Sacraments will take place on the following dates.
Confirmation Commitment Mass: Saturday, 17 May.
Eucharist Commitment Mass: Saturday, 24 May.
Reconciliation Commitment Mass:  Saturday, 31 May.

All of these Masses will be celebrated at 6.00pm, in the Sacred Heart Highgate Church.

If you have any queries, please email me at sheehy.anna@cathednet.wa.edu.au.

We look forward to working together with you in the Sacrament Program of 2014.

Yours sincerely,

Anna Sheehy
