Week 10 Homework

Well done to our class athletes at the interschool athletics carnival!

Reading
Read one RAZ book each night this week Monday - Thursday. Use the reading process.

Our Class RAZ Kids Reading Process.

1. Choose a book (your levels or above) you would like to read that you have not read before. 

2. Listen to the book read to you.

3. You read the book out aloud to an adult. They can hep you with any difficult parts. Focus on your reading fluency - change your voice at full stops, question marks, starting new sentences and pause at commas. 

4. Complete the quiz by yourself and only once. 


Maths
Times table study...Challenge yourself to get better.
Use these interactives to help you get better at times tables that challenge you. 10 minutes each night.

Spelling
New list words on Tuesday (as most people are at the carnival)
Complete your weekly activities by Friday. Friday Test this week.

Complete your weekly spelling work with your new list words. You have already completed some in your Spelling books.

Here is a new typing practice site. Just follow the letters at the top of the screen. You also get a score! Please practise for 10 minutes each night.

Week 6 Wednesday and Thursday Homework

Spelling - Practise your prefix and suffix challenge list.  We are having a Friday quiz on your words. Please have your spelling book here tomorrow.

BTN work - Make sure you have answered all the 3 questions for the Padlet activity.

Maths - Share your teaching videos that you made today with your parents. Make any changes that you need to before I see on Thursday and Friday.

Genius Project - Let your parents know what you have done so far in your Genius project. Share with them how you have planned your report using a mind map, your report writing and reading activities.

Padlet Discussion  - 10 minutes Padlet Link
Each group member must add a post to the news story's Padlet. Type your name and story title at the top of the post.
You need to write what your thoughts and opinions are about the news story.
How did it make you feel?
What did you learn?
What is your opinion of the topic of the story?

Visual Presentation - 30 minutes
Using your group roles create a visual presentation (using your MacBook or traditional art tools) that summarises the key points of the news story.

Deliver your presentation - 30 seconds - 1 Minute
As a group plan and rehearse your presentation for the class to watch and listen to.
Each member of the group must have a speaking role in the presentation. Speaking must be shared equally.
